The International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) at the University of Oregon is a program that selects international students to serve as cultural representatives in the Eugene and Springfield community. In exchange for sharing their cultural traditions through presentations, workshops and outreach activities, participants receive a partial tuition reduction. The award may be renewed each year if the recipient continues to meet program responsibilities and maintains the required academic standing.
Programs and Fields of Study
The ICSP is available to both undergraduate and graduate students. There are no restrictions by major or department. Students from any academic field at the University of Oregon are eligible to apply.
Benefits
Recipients receive a partial tuition waiver that helps offset the cost of study at the University of Oregon.
The scholarship can be renewed annually until degree completion provided the student fulfills ICSP obligations.
Scholars take part in cultural service each year, typically completing around sixty six to eighty hours of activities such as school visits, community presentations, public performances and workshops.
Eligibility
Applicants must be international students who are not United States citizens, United States permanent residents, or otherwise eligible for US federal financial aid.
Applicants must be admitted or fully admissible to the University of Oregon.
Applicants should demonstrate financial need.
Applicants must meet the minimum cumulative grade point average requirement of 3.5.

Selection is based on academic performance, communication and presentation ability, prior involvement in cultural or community activities, and a clear commitment to cultural exchange and community outreach.
Application Process
Step 1: Apply for admission to the University of Oregon for the term you wish to begin.
Step 2: After admission, obtain your student identification number and log in to the University of Oregon Scholarship Dashboard.
Step 3: Complete the scholarship profile on the dashboard and select the ICSP scholarship application.
Step 4: Fill out all required sections, include any requested references, and submit the application through the dashboard before the deadline.
Current students should use their existing student login to access the dashboard and complete the same application form.
